Let’s Walk in the Woods! \nDate: Saturday\, May 24\, 2026Time: Leave First UMC 11:00 am / step into Glenview Woods 11:30 am (walk ends approx. 1:30–2:00 pm)Location: Glenview Woods\, 701 Glenview Rd.\, GlenviewRSVP: Required — maximum 25 participants (Forest Preserve rules)Contact with Questions: Marcia Kittler — marcia.kittler@gmail.com or 773-329-3907 \nLet’s walk through Glenview Woods\, a pristine and beautiful Illinois Nature Preserve. See spring wildflowers and explore a glacial land formation. Marcia Kittler\, Illinois Extension Master Naturalist\, will be our guide. The first part of our walk will be on a lovely\, paved riverside trail\, and the second part will be up a small hill on a flowery\, unpaved trail. Feel free to bring a lawn chair\, water\, and brown bag lunch and enjoy some fellowship afterwards. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and footwear with traction; skin protection is recommended.
