“Cultivating a Spirit of Inclusion”
Scriptures: Acts 2:1-13; Acts 16:14-15
We gather to celebrate Pentecost—that remarkable moment when the Holy Spirit descended upon the early disciples and enabled them to speak across linguistic and cultural barriers. We’ll explore the powerful imagery from Acts 2, where people from every nation under heaven heard the mighty works of God proclaimed in their own languages. As we reflect on this foundational story, we’ll consider how Luke’s vision of radical inclusion challenges us to avoid the extremes of rigid exclusion and uncritical acceptance, instead calling us to remain centered on Jesus while continuously pushing the boundaries of welcome and understanding.
