Worship Services
There is a time and place for everyone at First United Methodist Church of Park Ridge. Each Sunday, we offer three unique worship opportunities, along with Sunday School classes for children and teens.
EARLY MORNING WORSHIP - 8:00 AM
Join us in an intimate setting in the Bobbie Fox Chapel (follow the stairs to the left of the Sanctuary up to second floor).
CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP - 9:00 AM
Participate in an engaging service with contemporary music, featuring the Jubilee Singers accompanied by keyboard, guitar and drums. Your young children can enjoy "Time for Young Christians", held early in the service, in the Sanctuary and then go to Sunday School. Please note that Family Worship is held the first Sunday of each month; children remain in the Sanctuary for the entire service so Sunday School does not take place. HOSPITALITY TIME - 10:00 - 10:30 AM
Spend time with members of the congregation and guests in the Parlor as you enjoy coffee, tea or lemonade and a selection of tasty baked goods.
TRADITIONAL WORSHIP– 10:30 AM
Enjoy a traditional service in the Sanctuary with beautiful stained glass windows and an inspiring pipe organ.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Children 3 years of age through fifth grade: Held following the "Time for Young Christians" in the Contemporary Service, this rotation-style Christian Education includes drama, art, computer, cooking and prayer practice activities and ends at 10:00 AM. Sunday School for this age group is not held the first Sunday of each month as we host a Family Worship, where children remain in the Sanctuary for the entire service.
Middle School (grades 6-8) and High School (grades 9-12): Older youth meet for interactive Sunday School lessons and conversation every Sunday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
Childcare is available for infants and toddlers up to 3 years of age for both the Contemporary (9 AM) and Traditional (10:30 AM) Services.
